Eileen Elizabeth Donham, 89 years of age, Born April 12, 1936, Passed Away September 12, 2025, with family by her side.
Eileen had resided in Derby for 31 years, and previously had lived in Larned, KS, Lyons, KS, and McPherson, KS. Eileen was most recently a resident of LakePoint of Augusta LTC, and under the care of Heartland Hospice at the time of passing.
Eileen was born April 12, 1936, in Larned, KS to George Harold Couchman Sr. and
Frankie Elizabeth (Davison) Couchman. Eileen graduated from Garfield High School in 1954.
Eileen united in marriage to Harold Dean Robinson in November of 1954. Children from this union, Sheri Ann Johannsen, Galen Lee Robinson and Karen Sue Little.
Eileen and Harold divorced in 1970. Eileen remarried to Jack Lee Donham of McPherson, KS in January of 1977.
Eileen had been an office manager for CertainTeed and Vanguard Plastics in McPherson, KS prior to retirement.
Eileen enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, bunco, computer games, Hallmark Christmas movies, and country western music.
Eileen enjoyed supporting Kansas State University, Wichita State University, Kansas City Chiefs, and Derby Panthers.
What brought Eileen the most joy was family gatherings, attending her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great grandchildren’s activities.
Eileen is survived by her two daughters Sheri Ann Johannsen of Lyons, KS, Karen Sue Little of Derby, KS, and daughter-in-law Carrie Renea Robinson of Derby, KS. Eight grandchildren, Derek Cadena (Brent Rodgers) of Denver, CO, Salena Little (Jamie Gipson) of Derby, KS, Corinn Peck (Collin) of Derby, KS, Brittni Miller of Derby, KS, Kallie Little (Tim Benson) of Derby, KS, Dave Johannsen (Halee) of Sterling, KS, Taylor Robinson (Sarah) of Greenwood, MO, Spencer Robinson (Karli) of Derby, KS, 11 great grandchildren, many extended family and friends.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents George Harold Couchman Sr. and Frankie Elizabeth Couchman, brother George Harold Couchman Jr, spouse Jack Lee Donham, son Galen Lee Robinson, and great granddaughter Breckyn Faith Peck.
A celebration of life will be held at Smith Family Mortuary in Derby, KS on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. At the wishes of Eileen and her family, this is a closed visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s’s and Heartland Hospice.
Eileen Elizabeth Donham made an impact on many hearts and lives. She will be greatly missed.
