Eileen Marie Gemmell

Eileen Marie Gemmell, age 80, of Haddon Heights, NJ passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2025.

Eileen was born in 1945 in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from St.Hubert's High School in 1963, Eileen attended the St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing. She devoted most of her nursing career caring for all at the United Methodist Communities in Collingswood, NJ. She would often work the night shift just to arrive home in time to help her children prepare for school.

Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband, Pete, whom she now joins in eternal peace. Together, they built a life founded on their love of family and faith. Eileen was the very proud mother of Anne (Roger), Kevin (Lisa), Susan (Douglas), Eileen (Daniel), and Timothy (Christine). One of Eileen's greatest joys was seeing her family grow with each grandchild. She was a loving, full-time MomMom to Aubrey, Kyla, Isabelle, Nicholas (Mackenzie), Harrison, Jacob, Eva, Lydia, Sean, Nathan, Gavin, and great grandson, Krew.

Upon full retirement, Eileen enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially sharing many laughs with her sisters, Peggy and Kathy. Her spirit of kindness, compassion, and quiet strength will live on in all who loved her.

Family and friends are invited to her visitation, Friday, August 29th, from 10:00a.m.-10:45a.m. at Saint Aloysius Church, 37 W. Haddon Ave., Oaklyn, NJ where a Mass of Resurrection will follow at 11:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Red Cross: 43ecross.org or American Red Cross, P.O.
