Mrs. Eileen M. Heck of Cuddebackville, NY, died Friday, August 18, 2023 at Taconic At Hopewell Nursing Home. She was 92. She was born July 27, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late David and the late Isabel Ostrofsky. Eileen was married to her loving husband Richard Heck until his passing in 2014. After graduating from High School, she graduated from Browns Business School in Jamaica Queens, NY. She worked as a secretary for several offices in the City of Port Jervis, NY including Building Inspector, Tax Assessor, Fire Dept. and Mayors Office. Eileen was an incredibly selfless woman who constantly was putting others before herself. She brought joy into many peoples lives with her kindness. Eileen loved to sing, doing so at the Cuddebackville Reformed Church in the choir for many years, and continuing to sing bringing happiness to many at Taconic Hopewell Nursing Home. Eileen cherished her children and her grandchildren very much. She will be severely missed by all those who knew her. Surviving are, her loving children: Robert Heck of Cuddebackville, NY, Lawrence Heck and his partner Denise Fallo of Sparrowbush, NY, and Laura Bauman and her husband Michael of Fishkill, NY; Two brothers, Stanley Ostrofsky and his wife Joyce of Boynton Beach FL. and Thomas Ostrofsky and his wife Sharon of Hyde Park, NY. Grandchildren, Andrea and Jessica Bauman. Also, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Leonard Ostrofsky and Bernard Ostrofsky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reformed Church of Cuddebackville, PO Box 293, Cuddebackville, NY 12729. There will be no visitation.
