Eileen Agnes LaHood-age 84 of Cave Creek Arizona, passed away April 27th, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Eileen's life at 10am, Tuesday, May 13th at Dream City Church, Phoenix 13613 N. Cave Creek Road,
Phoenix, AZ with a reception to follow. Pastor Brad Baker will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.PhoenixDreamCenter.org/donate.
Eileen was born on October 24, 1940, the daughter of Fred B. and Marie (Smith) Walsh. Eileen graduated high school in 1958. She married Peter Wazen LaHood in Detroit Michigan on October 15,1960. Eileen was a devoted wife of 56 years and had the privilege of staying home and raising her four kids. Eileen took the job of a homemaker very seriously and spent endless hours taking her children to swimming lessons, horseback riding, tennis lessons and to church services every time the doors were open! Eileen was a phenomenal cook and baker and even learned how to make exquisite Lebanese food from her mother-in-law as she wanted to embrace her husband's culture. Eileen was loving nicknamed "Beanie" by her husband Peter.
Eileen and her husband Pete enjoyed boating on the great lakes of Michigan during their younger years. Eileen, Pete and their older 3 kids built a beautiful cottage from the ground up together in Oscoda, Michigan. The family enjoyed many wonderful summers together at the lake and cottage. Eileen was a fantastic organ player who volunteered on her church worship team for many years. Eileen always had a drive in her to advance and become better in all areas of her life. At age 54 she enrolled in college for the first time and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing thereafter. She worked in the Scottsdale Unified School District at a school nurse for nearly a decade.
Eileen enjoyed volunteering and discipling the younger generation of women in her life. She created and ran an etiquette program called "Bloom Academy of Excellence" for several years through her church, Dream City. She enjoyed teaching women's Bible studies throughout the years. Most recently, Eileen mentored ladies from the Phoenix Dream Center Recovery & Discipleship program. She loved giving back to those in need. Many people adored Eileen's positive and encouraging influence.
Eileen was proceeded in death by: her parents, Fred and Marie Walsh; Peter Wazen LaHood/ Husband (2016), Peter David LaHood/Son (2018), Don Walsh/brother (2025).
Survived by: children: Fred LaHood, Shelly Brown and Shannon (Joe) Martinez; grandchildren, Joel LaHood, Aaron LaHood, Garrett LaHood, Stephen LaHood and Benjamin LaHood, Ava Martinez and Joe Martinez; sister Patty (Alan) Miller.
