Eileen was born on October 24, 1940, the daughter of Fred B. and Marie (Smith) Walsh. Eileen graduated high school in 1958. She married Peter Wazen LaHood in Detroit Michigan on October 15,1960. Eileen was a devoted wife of 56 years and had the privilege of staying home and raising her four kids. Eileen took the job of a homemaker very seriously and spent endless hours taking her children to swimming lessons, horseback riding, tennis lessons and to church services every time the doors were open! Eileen, Pete and their older 3 kids built a beautiful cottage from the ground up together in Oscoda, Michigan. The family enjoyed many wonderful summers together at the lake and cottage. At age 54 she enrolled in college for the first time and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing thereafter. She worked in the Scottsdale Unified School District at a school nurse for nearly a decade.
Eileen enjoyed volunteering and discipling the younger generation of women in her life. She created and ran an etiquette program called "Bloom Academy of Excellence" for several years through her church, Dream City. She enjoyed teaching women's Bible studies throughout the years. Most recently, Eileen mentored ladies from the Phoenix Dream Center Recovery & Discipleship program. She loved giving back to those in need. Many people adored Eileen's positive and encouraging influence.
