Eileen Pearl May, 87, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. She was born on February 23, 1938, in Ipswich, England, to the late William and Rose Whiting (Grainger). Eileen was a woman of gentle spirit and quiet joys. She loved spending her time watching birds and had a special fondness for cats. She found happiness in simple pleasures such as word find puzzles, crafting, and coloring, and she especially enjoyed playing bingo. Above all else, Eileen treasured her family. Time spent with those she loved brought her the greatest joy and meaning in her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Paul May; her parents; her precious granddaughter, Allissa May; four brothers; and one sister. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Billy May (Shari) of Tifton, GA; Jeff May (Eva) of Benton, TN; Richard May (Joanna) of Clovis, NM; Teresa May of Warner Robins, GA; and Kevin May (Penny) of Gray, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brandon, Dennis (Brenna), Mitchell (Mattie), Luke Ayres (Deanna) and their extended family, Christine Carter, Brock Farrell (Destiny), Nick May (Ludi), and Ashley May; and five great grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends who will dearly miss her. A service to honor and celebrate Eileen's life will be held on January 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery. Pastor Jay Lauritsen will officiate. With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Eileen, please visit our floral store.
