Sheron Ashmore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Feb. 2, 2026.
Sheron Maxine Ashmore (Hadwin), of Byron, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. She was born on August 15, 1954, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Lavelle Hadwin and Viola LaBove (Cobb).

Sheron was a woman whose love was felt most deeply through the simple joys of life. She loved reading and was a wonderful cook who found true happiness preparing meals for her family and for anyone lucky enough to gather around her table. Music filled her home and her heart, and she loved listening to it and dancing whenever she had the chance.

One of Sheron's favorite pleasures was watching butterflies. She delighted in seeing them flutter through her yard, always pausing to admire them whenever they came to visit-a quiet joy that reflected her gentle spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willie Vaughn and Charles Ashmore; her precious grandson, Justin Bertrand; her sister, Wanda Emanus; and her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Shannan Bertrand and husband Kelvin of Byron, Georgia; Kenneth Vaughn of Alexandria, Louisiana; Joshua Hadwin and wife Yuly of Alexandria, Louisiana; and Angelica Ashmore of Alexandria, Louisiana. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jacob Bertrand, Tess Bertrand, Mckinze Hadwin, Jadelynn Hadwin, and Adalyn Hadwin; her great-grandchildren: Brayson, Waylon, and Weston Bertrand; and her brother, J.R. Hadwin and wife Laura, of Alexandria, Louisiana.

Sheron will be remembered for her loving heart, her generous spirit, and the warmth she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the laughter, love, and cherished moments shared with her family.

A memorial mass celebrating her life will be held on Monday, February 9th 2026 - 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM - Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with inurnment immediately following at Springhill Cemetery on Springhill Rd, Tioga, LA.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association Georgia Chapter in Sheron's name.

With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
