Linda Lu Smith

Linda Lu Ann (Reminder) Smith, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, Georgia.

Linda was born on February 24, 1938, in West Branch, Michigan to the late Harold and Ferne (Mason) Reminder. She built a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.

Linda retired from Allstate Insurance Company, where she faithfully served as a secretary. She was a devoted member of Solid Rock Community Church in Centerville, Georgia, where her faith and fellowship were central to her life.

She found great joy in attending performances at the Powersville Opry in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Linda loved dancing, listening to music, camping, and spending time outdoors. She had a special place in her heart for animals and was a dedicated member of TOPS Club, Inc. Her beloved dogs, Buddy and Rosie, were treasured companions who brought her daily comfort and happiness.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, David Smith; her son, Christopher Gleason; her grandchildren, Adam Johnson, Nate Skelly, Angela Skelly, Cera Skelly, Sean Gleason, and Michelle Gleason; along with her precious dogs, Buddy and Rosie Marie. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A service celebrating Linda's life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory, with Pastor Wiley Leverette officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Macon & Bibb County in her memory.
