Torrey Lee Willard

Torrey Lee Willard, 55, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Torrey was born on February 18, 1971, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to the late Ronald Willard and Anita Ausherman. He grew up with a kind heart and a joyful spirit that he carried with him throughout his life.

Torrey was a dedicated employee at Publix, where he was known for his eagerness to help others and his ability to brighten anyone's day with his warm smile. His kindness and genuine care for people left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Torrey loved watching his favorite afternoon and evening broadcasts, especially listening for the familiar "Straight from the Heart" theme and tuning in to see his favorite weatherman, Ben Jones. Music was also close to his heart, and he especially enjoyed listening to Twenty One Pilots and Shania Twain. He had a fondness for jewelry, as well as beloved characters like Snoopy and Charlie Brown.

In his free time, Torrey enjoyed watching soap operas, working on crossword puzzle books, and the Sports Illustrated calendar. He also appreciated relaxing with a cold beer on occasion. Torrey was an active participant in the Special Olympics and took great pride in being part of a bowling league.

Above all, Torrey deeply loved his faithful companion, his dog Waffle, who brought him immense comfort and joy.

Torrey was preceded in death by his beloved parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Sherri Willard; his niece, Cheyenne Willard, his stepsister, Melissa Ausherman; his stepbrother, Michael Ausherman; along with many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.

Torrey's life was a testament to strength, kindness, warmth, and simple joy. He will be remembered for the light he brought into the lives of others and the smiles he so effortlessly shared.
