Cairo- Eileen McPartlan, 90 of 9 Old State Route 23 in Cairo died April 30, 2024 peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Co Roscommon, Ireland on March 29, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Frances and Thomas Kelly.
Eileen has been an area resident since 1992. Prior to coming to Greene County, she resided in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Knock Shrine, and a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Greenville Irish American Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pat Mc Partlan. She is survived by her son Gerard (Beth) of Georgia and a daughter Deirdre (Ed) Finnegan of Brooklyn, 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Sean, Mary, Grania and Fiona and two great grandchildren, Abigail and Luke. She is also survived by her sisters Maureen Reynolds (Rooskey, Co Roscommon), Etty Lavin (Strokestown, Co Roscommon) and Bridie Thompson (Fort Lee, NJ), and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation at The Our Lady of Knock Shrine, 2052 Route 145, East Durham, New York, 12423, on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 6, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. at The Our Lady of Knock Shrine, 2052 Route 145, East Durham, New York, 12423, with Rev Steve Matthews, former pastor, The Celebrant officiating.
Interment will follow in the family plot of St Patrick's Cemetery in Catskill.
Please no flowers! Contribution envelopes will be available at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Richards Funeral Home of the Mid-Hudson Valley, Inc., 29 Bross Street, Cairo, New York, 12413.
