It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen M. Murrihy of Woburn, Massachusetts, formerly of Hamden, Connecticut, who passed away peacefully on January16, 2026. Eileen was predeceased by her mother Clare M. (Faherty) Murrihy of Hamden, Connecticut, formerly of Recess Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. She will be dearly missed by her loving dad Jimmy, her brother Jim, her cherished godsons Ryan and Charlie, Jim's partner Doriena Finnegan, Muireann and Teddy Finnegan, relatives, neighbors, and a wide circle of friends. Wake will take place Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home located at 3105 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518. Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church located at 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518 followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery at 3100 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518. The Mass will be streamed live at 11:00 a.m. Link will be available on Sisk Brothers Funeral Home website. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. You can make a tribute donation in memory of Eileen online through the LLS website. The family expresses their sincere appreciation for your sympathy and support during this difficult time and extends special thanks to Dr Miller and all the Yale Cardiac ICU medical staff for their incredible care of Eileen. A special thanks also to Eileen's first cousin Geraldine Faherty who was a great support to the family during Eileen's stay at the hospital.
