Henrietta: July 21, 2025. Eileen, age 83, passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous journey with breast cancer. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward "Skip" O'Meara; parents, Theodore and Ellen (Hitchcock) Davis; her siblings, Anna Mae (Gerald) Hughes, Janet (Gene) Marsh, Mary Jane Miller, Sharon Davis, John (Melia) Davis, James (Marjory) Davis, and Gerald "Jerry" Davis.
She is survived by her children, Jane (John) Kehoe of West Henrietta, James (Angela Febbi) O'Meara & Edward "Chip" O'Meara of St. Pete Beach, FL; grandsons, Justin Kehoe, Jordan (Marissa) Kehoe and James O'Meara, Jr., sisters-in-law Irene Davis (Portland, OR), Mary Jo O'Meara (Olean, NY), Margaret "Peg" Wenke (Santa Ynez, CA), brothers-in-law Norbert "Bud" O'Meara (Castile, NY), Joseph Hartwig (Sanford, FL); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eileen was an avid gardener and was known for her sewing and crafting skills. For her daughter's wedding, she designed and sewed Jane's wedding gown, all of the bridesmaids' dresses, as well as her own dress. It added to the specialness of the day, and is a cherished memory.
Eileen provided childcare in her home for many years for friends and family. She also worked as a manager for Wegmans in their fabric department at both the former East Henrietta and Eastway (Webster) stores, and volunteered for more that ten years at Monroe Community Hospital.
The family would like to thank Eileen's support team from the University of Rochester's Hospice program. Their care helped keep Eileen's wish to remain at home possible.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday July 28th from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623. Services and Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made to UR Medicine Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580 [Donate Online] or a charity of your choice.
