Eileen Schulz Hazard passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and pastors on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 in Rochester, N.Y. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 24th,1945.

Eileen was the eldest of three children for Gerald and Shirley Acquavella. Her love for God started at an early age. She attended Glendale Baptist Church where she sang in the Choir, was a Sunday School teacher, was active with the Ladies Ministry and helped in any capacity where she could serve the Lord. She had a close and personal relationship with Christ. She continued to serve the Lord in The Church at Hemlock Farms and in the Adonai Henrietta Campus with her second husband Pastor Edwin Hazard.

In her youth Eileen was an avid bowler and enjoyed roller dancing and singing. She was a dedicated and active student in Richmond Hill High School. She later attended a junior college program for business and worked with computers before marrying Kurt Schulz and having three children. She reveled in being a stay at home wife and mother and was very proud of her family. She was a member of the parent student association for all of her children, volunteered to help with all of the plays and special school activities, as well as being class mother in her children’s classes and taught reading to ESL and special needs students.

She was very active in the lives of her children and supported all of their activities and encouraging them to be the best that they could be. She enjoyed sewing costumes and going to community activities with her children as well as supporting their educational needs. She also worked as a Signed Language interpreter in the New York school system. After retiring she and her husband moved to Hemlock Farms where she became very active in the local church by helping in the women’s ministries and volunteering her time. She enjoyed crafting, cooking and worshipping. She was able to travel to Europe and experience some of the sites there.

With the encouragement of her children, she met and married a second time (to Edwin Hazard) and was able to join the Adonai Henrietta Campus Church. Here she became very active in the religious community. She was a member of the women’s ministries, volunteered and helped in any way that she could. Eileen and Ed served on the pastoral staff at Adonai Henrietta Campus.

Eileen was a kind and selfless person who opened her heart and her home to all those in need. She worked selflessly for those in need . She always had a kind word and a smile for those around her and loved her family and God above all else.

She is survived by her husband Edwin Hazard, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Her Memorial Service will be held 10:30am Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Adonai Henrietta Campus Church, 1390 Pinnacle Road, Henrietta, NY 14467

In lieu of flowers contributions in her honor may be made to the church.
