Eileen Stipe Obituary
Lorain- Eileen Stipe, 98, of Lorain, passed away on December 29, 2025, at Sprenger Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 21, 1927 in Lorain, to her loving parents, James and Elizabeth ( nee Quinn ) O' Doherty.
Eileen married the love of her life, Robert Jack Stipe on September 6, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lorain. She worked as a Librarian at Lorain Public Library on 6th Street. Eileen was a volunteer at Birthright in Lorain. She was a loving and devoted mother, and took pride in raising her 7 loving children.
She is survived by her children, Timothy (Palma) Stipe, David ( Shelly ) Stipe, Thomas ( Sue ) Stipe, Daniel ( Karen ) Stipe, Mary ( Ed ) Flynn, and Kathleen ( Gary ) Casper; grandchildren, Sean, Robert, Matthew, Ryan, Colin, Allison, Rachel, Brian, Chris, Dave, Ciara, Stephanie, Malena, Maggie, Jason, Elizabeth, C atie, Natalie, Rosemary, and Paul; and twenty-five great grandchildren. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jack; her parents; and son Stephen Stipe.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440)244-1961 on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 09:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 3, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 309 W. 7th Street, Lorain, Ohio, Father Daniel O. Divis officiating. Christian Burial services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Online condolences may be sent using rsgfuneralhome.com
