Eileen D. Stogbauer, age 92, of Hartford, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Eileen was born on August 1, 1933, to Orin and Katherine (nee Davies) Gehrke. On October 9, 1950, she was united in marriage to Norman Stogbauer in Elcho, Wisconsin. They shared 61 years of marriage together.
Eileen dedicated more than 30 years to caring for others as the lead Housekeeping Supervisor at Cedar Lake Nursing Home. She was a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Slinger, where she was active in the Ladies Aid. In her spare time, Eileen was a proud member of the Homemakers Club. Eileen enjoyed movies, reading, and shopping, but her greatest joy was her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always keeping busy and putting her family first.
Eileen is survived by her children, Trudy (Ken) Moser, Carole Thielmann, Peter (Terri) Stogbauer, Colleen Frey, Linda (Wayne) Scherwinski, and Paula Frank; 16 beloved grandchildren; 29 cherished great-grandchildren, with baby Scherwinski on the way; and 2 treasured great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; her parents, Orin and Katherine Gehrke; sisters, Charlotte and Betty; brothers, Richard and Terrance; son-in-law, Tom; and infant grandchild Christine Thielmann.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eileen's honor may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to the Hartford Pink Pumpkin Run fund.
Funeral Services for Eileen will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (799 St. Paul Dr., Slinger, WI 53086). Family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the start of service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Ben Golisch will be officiating.
