While spending her early adulthood in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Elaine met her late husband, Jeff Calhoun and together they spent many years traveling North America building industrial cooling towers, They went on to build a quieter life in Sherwood Shores, Texas, where she and Jeff would spend the rest of their days, Elaine lived her life full of compassion, and spent many years brightening the lives of students in the cafeterias of Whitesboro ISD and supporting the Sherwood Shores Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Elaine is survived by her brother, Lane Romero and wife, Viola, sister, Sheree Tims and husband, Cairl, brother, Joy Romero and wife, Josette, sister, Trinie Tate and husband, Greg, as well as many loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Calhoun, parents, Baudie and Peggy Romero, sister, Doris Romero and brother, Jimmy Leo Romero.
Elaine touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit, and she spent her final days celebrating her life by laughing with her family and enjoying all her favorite foods. The lives of those she loved were made brighter by knowing her and she will be missed greatly.
