Glinda Kay Grubbs, age 73, passed away on the 17th of August 2025 in Gainesville, Texas. She was born on August 23, 1951, in Tokyo, Japan to Jack Leo Lovett and Geraldine Fay (Gravette) Lovett.
Glinda married Gary Deane Grubbs on February 9, 1983, and they enjoyed 37 years of marriage before his passing. She is survived by her four children: Christina Ann Hampton, Michelle Lea Day (Mason), Jason Otis Traxler (Amber), and James Leo Merle Howell (Emily). She was blessed with five grandchildren: Heather Holle (Phillip), Kyle Raines, Kathy Wyrick (Ben), Jessica Shockey (Cory), and Zane Traxler. Glinda also cherished her six great-grandchildren: Madison Wyrick, John Holle, Allie Wyrick, Jennifer Holle, Hailey Wyrick and Harvey Shockey.
Glinda is survived by her sisters: Linda Winslow, Winda Lovett, Brinda McGarry, and her brother Barry Lovett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Grubbs, brothers Garry Lovett, Larry Lovett, and Darry Lovett, and her parents, Jack and Geraldine Lovett.
Glinda's love for her family was immeasurable. Her kindness and warmth touched the lives of everyone who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Mason Day, Ben Wyrick, Phillip Holle, and Cory Shockey.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 20
