Elaine Cheshire, 91, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Monday, October 7th at her home. She was born in New York City on June 7, 1933 to the late Rose Heim.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Gloria, and her grandsons, David and Stephen.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn and Terri, her grandchildren, Erik, Evan, Janete, Allison, Seth, and Jacob, and many great grandchildren.
She was affectionately called "Noni" by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for her love for family gatherings, her strong Christian faith, and her unwavering love for her Lord. She will also be remembered for her great enjoyment of puzzles.
Elaine loved walks on the beach, so her ashes will be scattered on Hilton Head Island Beach on Monday afternoon, October 14th.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compass Aviation. This is a local ministry, known by the family, working to deliver needed supplies to hard to reach areas of Western NC that have been severely impacted by Hurricane Helene.
