Elaine Wadsworth Dahlstrom, age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at her home in Spring Creek, Nev.
Born on October 9, 1941, in Montpelier, Idaho, Elaine was the eldest of three children of Darrell and Loneta Wadsworth. She was raised in Wendover, Utah, where she shared a close bond with her brothers Glenn and Steve and developed lifelong friendships and many talents, including piano playing, dancing, and cooking.
Elaine attended high school in Grantsville, Utah, where she was a cheerleader and crowned "Miss Grantsville." She later completed business school at Stevens Henager College and worked at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. She also attended Nancy Taylor Finishing School and pursued modeling. Her career work was spent at the Intrepid Potash Plant in Wendover, Utah for over 35 years as a General Secretary.
On November 25, 1967, Elaine married Gary Dahlstrom. Together they raised three children: Derek, Lance, and Shamaine. Elaine was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who brought joy, warmth, and unwavering support to her family. She was also a talented musician and played in a local band, "The RideAways," with her brother Steve.
Elaine loved arrowhead hunting, reading, westerns, sports, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for her kind heart, sense of humor, and deep devotion to her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gary Dahlstrom; children, Derek (Wife Deana), Lance, and Shamaine (Husband Kurt); six grandchildren, Shayler, Wyatt (Wife Sarah), Teagan (Husband Sioeli), Brock, Parker, Demi; and four great-grandchildren, Aisea, Emma, Eli, Archie.
Elaine's love, strength, and legacy will continue to live on through her family. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, 11 a.m. at the LDS Church Building in Wendover UT. 341 So. 2nd Street.
