Elaine Marie Daub-Dotson (nee Marinik), 73 of Amherst, OH peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was born February 19, 1948, to parents Anthony and Henrietta (nee Zlotnicki) Marinik in Lorain, OH.
Elaine was a graduate of BGSU. She was a mortgage underwriter for 30 years and was employed by Union Home Mortgage. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies and enjoyed cooking and baking. Her true joy came from spending time with her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband Alva Dotson; loving children Jennifer (James) O'Leary of Lorain, OH, Anthony (Ashley) Daub of Willard, OH, Christopher (Julie) Daub of Sylvania, OH and Aaron (Joe Sciuva) Daub of Parma, OH; cherished grandchildren Cullen O'Leary, Madigan O'Leary, Zach (Caytlyn) Veletean, Ethan Daub, Kennedy Daub, Gabrielle Daub and Tristan Daub; dear sister Joanne (Robert) Hotchkiss of Chattanooga, TN; step-mother of Tammy (Scott) Edmundson; step-grandmother of Christian and Ryan Edmundson; sister in-law, Aunt, Godmother, and friend of many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Paul R. Daub and cherished granddaughter, Trinity Daub.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, September 9 from 4 - 8 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral Mass at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Please gather directly at church. Cremation by Busch Crematory.
