It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elaine Dea, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, who left us on October 7, 2024. Born in China, she embarked on a remarkable journey that led her to San Francisco, where she created a life filled with love, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
She met and married James Dea. Together, they built not only a family but also a cornerstone of the Chinatown community with their family-owned retail store. For her entire career, Elaine greeted every customer and visitor with a warm smile and an open heart, always making everyone feel welcome, whether they were stepping into the store or into her home.
Her kindness was matched only by her wisdom and grace. Those fortunate enough to know her will forever cherish her infectious smile, her thoughtful advice. She had an extraordinary way with words, offering wisdom that touched the soul.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle presence will forever be remembered and cherished.
She is survived by her loving family, who will continue to honor her memory and carry her lessons in their hearts.
Rest in peace, Elaine Dea. You will be dearly missed, but your legacy of love and warmth will live on.
