Elaine Falaschetti (Nanny) born January 18, 1919 in Portland, Oregon passed peacefully in her home of 78 years on August 27, 2025. She was 106 years old and lived a very full and loving life. We'll always remember her belting out songs as she spoke to you, "Mr. Sandman" being one of her favorites. Always happy, Elaine had a smile and a compliment for everyone. No one was a stranger as far as she was concerned and she made friends with everyone.
Elaine attended St. Mary's Academy in downtown Portland and graduated in 1936. A few years later she married the love of her life in May of 1939. She and Al celebrated 73 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Costanzo and Carl Costanzo, and two sisters, Ida Pugliesi and Mary Greco.
She was a devout member of St Anthony's Catholic Church for over 70 years. Elaine prided herself as a homemaker and stay at home mom, raising three children that meant the world to her. She is survived by her two sons, Richard Falaschetti (Patti), Danny Falaschetti and daughter, Luana Wriglesworth (Jim), many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. We were all so lucky and grateful to have had her in our lives.
A Funeral Mass and Reception will be held in Elaine's honor on Wednesday September 24, 11:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 3720 SE 79th, Portland, Oregon.
We would like to thank Elaines's caregivers, Debbie and Michelle, and the care team at Bristol Hospice for all their loving care especially in her last year. We also wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation all the support and prayers during this time of loss.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elaine's honor to St Anthony's Altar Society.
