Elaine Maxwell Heathcott

Elaine Heathcott, 79, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Oakwood Community Living Center. Born January 7, 1945 in the Bonicord Community, she is the daughter of the late Benny and Laverne Harbor Maxwell. Elaine is a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ. 

 Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Jim Chamblee with interment to follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. 

 The family will receive visitors Tuesday, August 27th beginning at 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home. 

 She is survived by her husband of 46 years, George Preston Heathcott; her daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Duncan; her son, James David Heathcott (Kristy)of Troy, TN; her stepson, John Heathcott (Deanna) of Knoxville; her brother, Donald Maxwell (Donna) of Medina; grandchildren, Adison Heathcott, Mason Heathcott, Lyra Thurman, Michael Thurman (Wynter), Emma Heathcott, Anna Heathcott; great-grandchildren, William Clark, Jayke Stanfield, Jace Thurman and Gracian Thurman; and many nieces and nephews. 

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her stepdaughter, Nancy Heathcott; her brother, Dewayne Maxwell; her grandson, Cody Duncan and her great-granddaughter Molly Kate Duncan.
