Elaine Hessen Obituary
Elaine M. Hessen, 80, passed away on May 3, 2024, after a short battle with ovarian cancer. She was the daughter of the late Clair Benn and Gladys (Sheaffer) Brinkman.
After graduating from high school, she continued her education and graduated from beauty school. Elaine spent much of her career as a hairdresser. In her spare time, she enjoyed trips to the beach and Blue Marsh, spending time with family and friends, and decorating for each season/holiday of the year.
Elaine is survived by a daughter, Shelley Risser (wife of Randy) of Oxford, FL. Also surviving is a sister Louise Gochnauer (wife of the late Gerald), sister-in-law Bonnie Benn (wife of the late Lewis), grandson Samuel DeJesus (fiancée of Yarissa Rosario), great granddaughter Anelyanna DeJesus, great grandsons Nysaiah and Anias DeJesus, future great granddaugher Ariyah Alverez, several nieces, and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Edgar Benn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Fireside Room at the Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. The interment will be private in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA.
