Elaine Hintermeyer Obituary
Elaine was born May 8th, 1934. She was the daughter of Earl and Olive (Lindstrom) Stewart. Elaine graduated from Durand High School. On December 30, 1953 Elaine married her high school sweetheart Gordon Hintermeyer. Gordon and Elaine were married for 59 years before his passing in 2013.
Elaine is survived by her sons, Mark (Laurie) of Alexandria, MN, and David (Mary) of Waukesha, WI; three grandchildren, Bradley (Kristen) of West Fargo, ND, Alison (Brent) Olson of Superior, WI, and Erin (Aaron) Woodstock of Somers, WI; and 6 great grandchildren Lauren, Collin, Miles, Felix, Olive and Kiaya.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Neil, and infant daughter Kim.
Her passions included golf, bowling and riding ATV's. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Dean and Tammy Ableidinger, for all the love and support they have provided over the years.
According to Elaine's wishes, there will be no funeral service. The immediate family will have a private burial and requests no memorials or flowers.
Rhiel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Durand, is serving the family.

Elaine was a special "older" cousin to me..I always enjoyed my times with her..We always our coffee and chatting...

Elaine was like a sister to me, and I have a lifetime of memories of her. She was my Mom's flower girl, and I was Elaine's. I visited her often, joking that I came to eat her chocolate and visit her cat. We laughed a lot, and I will miss her like crazy. She missed Gordie and Kim so much, so I'm thankful they are reunited now in Heaven.
