Elaine Elizabeth Jankauskas was born on July 26, 1938, and passed into eternal peace on August 29, 2025. An Illinois native, Elaine later made her home in Florida. She was surrounded by the love of her devoted husband, Bruno, as she took her final breath. She was the picture of strength after surviving a stroke as well as colon cancer.

Elaine is survived by her beloved husband, Bruno Jankauskas, her daughters, Christine (Robert) Varcoe and Phyllis (Jack) Suske, as well as her son, Frank (Kathy) Covone. She was a proud grandmother to Zachary (Katrina) Keller, Nathan (Alicia) Varcoe, Sean (Kathryn) Keller, Christopher (Kayla) Varcoe, Katelyn Keller, and Samantha Keller, as well as the late Benjamin Varcoe. As a cherished great-grandmother, she adored Penelope, Cassidy, Rose and Rhys Keller, along with Bella, Christopher, Benjamin, Lyoto, Yaness, and Guyel Varcoe.

Elaine was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and a caring mother to her furkids, Brady, Belle, and Bella. She loved spending time with her friends at the Port Charlotte Women's Club and was an active member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.

Visitation for Elaine will take place on Thursday, September 4th, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home in Punta Gorda. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 5th, at 10:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.

Mrs J, you were always a sweet, kind and caring woman who opened your home many times to our scraggly little group of friends. You will be missed by so many, but you gave us a true friend in your wonderful daughter Chris. Be proud that you have a legacy built in her, she follows in your footsteps of kindness and generosity.
