Elaine Joy Kendrick

Elaine Joy Kendrick of Burton formerly of Davison, age 80, died Thursday March 26, 2026 at McLaren-Flint Hospital. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Elaine’s memory to the Genesee County Humane Society.

Elaine was born in Port Huron Michigan on May 22, 1945 the daughter of William & Dorothy (Schoenrock) Ramage. She spent her early years in Port Huron and was a graduate of Port Huron Schools. She and her husband relocated to Davison for many years, spending the last twenty years in Burton. She was joined in marriage to Arthur M. Kendrick on September 17, 1966 in Sparlingville Michigan, and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2006. She was a homebody that enjoyed gardening and crocheting, and quite time with a good book to read. Elaine’s greats love was her grandchildren and spending time with family.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Tracy (Joseph) Hurley, and her loving seven grandchildren, especially Jorja Joy Hurley, and many great-grandchildren. Also surviving is brother Dennis (Debbie) Robinson, and a host of extended family and friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her sister Diane Evans.
