Elaine Marie McDermott

Elaine Marie McDermott, 64 of Bloomfield, NJ passed away on October 1, 2025 Elaine is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years James J. McDermott, loving son James McDermott III with his wife Jennifer, Sister Michele Bloom with her husband Jeffrey and two nieces Emily and Gabriella. Elaine was predeceased by her parents Alan and Kathleen Frink. Elaine graduated Montclair State University with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing. She worked as a Substitute Teacher for Bloomfield Board of Education and volunteered her time as Docent at Essex County Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, NJ. Where Shu the komono dragon was her most beloved animal to speak about with guests of the zoo. Elaine was passionate about wildlife, reptiles and most of all bearded dragons.
