Harold V. McDermott

Harold V. McDermott, age 84, passed away on January 29, 2026. He was born on December 3, 1941, to the late Harold and Clara Belle. Harold is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Donna; dear children Scott, Dawn (Bradley) Barnhart, Shawn (Angie); cherished grandchildren, Jake, Mack, Clarissa, Julia, Phillip and great-grandchild Aiden.

Harold was preceded in death by his sister Maureen.

Harold was in the U.S. Air Force and is a Viet Nam Veteran, Harold was a ham radio enthusiast earning his novice license when he was 15 and enjoyed talking to people all over the world. He was a single engine airplane pilot, mastering a 172 and a 206. He enjoyed furniture restoration, bringing old furniture back to life. He was an active member of the Medina United Methodist church.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 10am-12pm at Waite Funeral Home in Medina. A funeral service will be held at 12pm at the funeral home.
