Elaine F. Neidigh

Elaine F. Malazich Neidigh, 88, of Shafton, died peacefully at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. She was born July 12, 1936, in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Varga) Malazich. Elaine was a 1954 graduate of Penn Joint High School. She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Neidigh; daughter, Joann Neidigh Hildenbrand; and a brother, George "Sonny" Malazich. She is survived by a brother, John "Jerome" Malazich, and his wife, Shirlee; her son, Paul Angelicchio, and his wife, Karen, of Hempfield Township; and her daughter, Diann Neidigh Keebler, and her husband, Rich, of West Mifflin; her grandchildren, Nathan Angelicchio, Samantha McDowell, Megan Kaftan, Crystal Keebler, Willam Keebler, and Anna Hildenbrand. She enjoyed being a homemaker and lived to care for her grandchildren. As a Navy mom and Navy and Air Force grandmother, she was proud of her children and grandchildren who served and continue to serve in the military; her youngest grandson William, is serving at sea in San Diego, CA. She enjoyed traveling to Norfolk, VA, to go on Paul's ships and visit Di when she was stationed at the Naval Hospital Bethesda, MD. Her biggest and most memorable trip was to visit Meg, when she was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, PA. A Blessing service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2025, in the funeral home with Rev. Louiegene Arnold Valdez officiating, followed by interment at Union Cemetery, Irwin, PA.
