Elaine Nichelson

Elaine Nichelson, age 87, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2025. She was born in Canton, Ohio on August 25th, 1938, to the late John and Lena (Michelini) Eckroate. She graduated from Timken High School. Elaine worked at A&P in Canton in their corporate office and later spent time as a real estate agent with Marks and Taylor Realty. She loved to spend time in the sun and travel to their favorite beach destination, Wildwood Crest in New Jersey. She adored and cherished her children and grandchildren. Elaine was a beautiful and kind soul that will be dearly missed by all.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; husband John "Jack" Nichelson; and siblings Ronald Eckroate and David Eckroate.

She is survived by her children Lisa (Tom) Howard and Valerie (Ted) Tomak Jr; grandchildren Christian Tomak and Lauren Tomak; siblings Marcia Eckroate, Doreen Lopez, and Francine Hart; grand dog Lexie.

A private memorial service will be held for immediate family members, and she will be laid to rest at North Lawn Cemetery.
