I am so sorry to learn of Elaine's passing. My cousin Robert was her husband. Elaine was faithful to keep in touch with my family, and when she traveled she would visit my parents, Rhoda's brother Cleo and Alberta Kautsch. I always enjoyed getting her letters, sometimes a text or phone call too. I pray our God of All Comfort consoles all who love her. I look forward to our Reunion in Glory!!

Elaine and I became acquainted in 1995 when she served as an officer at the LWMS convention in Crystal City, Virginia. She was an inspiration and supported my run for presidency a decade later. I look forward to spending eternity with her and comparing notes about how gracious the Lord has been in our lives.

I met Elaine in aqua class and she joined our coffee group. She invited us to her house for this delicious brunch. You name it, she had it. We really enjoyed her friendship. Sending my love and prayers. So sorry for your loss.

RIP Elaine, it was nice to get to know you at aqua classes in New Ulm. It was nice to see you again a couple years ago at the clinic in New Ulm. Deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers to her family.

God's blessings to the entire Otterstatter family. Elaine was our next-door neighbor on South Jefferson Street in New Ulm, and we loved every minute of it! While we are saddened by an earthly loss, we rejoice in her heavenly victory!
"For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him." (I Thessalonians 4:14)

Elaine was my 5th grade teacher when she first taught. In 1955, she was pulled out of college to be an emergency teacher because of a severe teacher shortage in the 1950's. She had 18 students in a one room school with no indoor plumbing in rural Goodhue, MN. She was 19. That was 69 years ago.
We kept in touch all those years. She faithfully sent birthday cards to me all those years. It was my first year in a Lutheran school and her teaching and expressions of faith had a huge impact on me. I always admired her.
Elaine probably had too many friends and acquaintances to be counted. She easily connected with people. It seemed like everyone knew her! She now has the crown of life, heaven, promised to her by her Savior Jesus! Praise the Lord!
