Lois M. Meidl, age 96, a Pigeon Lake resident, passed away Peacefully Saturday, August 23, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 28, 1929 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Vallier) Weiss. Lois attended Tomahawk High School. On April 3, 1948 she married Greg J. Meidl at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2017. Lois was employed with Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company in Manitowoc. She also served as the Clerk and Commissioner of the Town of Liberty Sanitary District for 40 years. Lois and Greg were residents of Pigeon Lake for over 50 years and made the most of their time on the lake. They could be seen canoeing together almost everyday in the summertime. She enjoyed lunch with friends as well as playing cards and dice. Above all, Lois loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law: Frank (Ann Seiler) Meidl and Steve (Ann) Meidl; six grandchildren: Rebecca (John) Konecny, Frank G. J. (Lindsay) Meidl, Madeline (Matthew) Drafall, Melinda (Neil) Drickey, Melissa (Nate) Strickland, and Marshall (Emily) Meidl; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Blanche Weiss; her husband: Greg Meidl; and her 11 siblings.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton, WI. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry. Lois will be laid to rest at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery, St. Nazianz.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Newton.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, is assisting the Meidl family with funeral arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.
