Elaine Elizabeth Payton, born on April 16, 1971, in New York, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is remembered as a woman whose warmth, humor, and gentle spirit have touched every life around her. Married for ten beautiful years to her devoted husband, Todd Payton, Elaine has built a life filled with love, laughter, and simple joys.

A talented hairdresser and stylist, she brought confidence and comfort to countless clients through her work in the salon. Elaine adored the beach-so much so that she and Todd exchanged their vows by the water, a place that always brought her peace. She found joy in classic, old-time television shows, especially Little House on the Prairie and The Conners. Her favorite treats were the simple kind that made her smile: a scoop (or two) of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream and a cold Snapple Peach Iced Tea.

Elaine is deeply loved by her family. She is cherished by her husband Todd Payton, brother, Charlie Baugham, and his wife, Jennifer, as well as her mother, Evelyn; her mother-in-law, Kathleen; her brother-in-law, David; and her nephew, Connor. Her loyal dog, Roxy, remains by her side-her constant companion and comfort.

As her family continues to surround her with love, they look forward to holding a celebration of life at a later time to honor the beautiful soul she is and the joy she has brought into the world.
