Lisa Marie MacKenzie, born on September 10, 1964, in Norfolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on December 2, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 61.
Lisa was a woman of remarkable spirit and character, known for her kind heart, infectious humor, and unyielding tenacity. Her strength of will was both admired and cherished by those who knew her best. She approached life with an unwavering determination and zest that inspired everyone around her.
Lisa truly lived life to the fullest, never wasting a minute of the precious time she was given. Her passion for nature and the outdoors was evident in her love of the beach and for hiking, camping, and traveling. She found peace and joy among the beauty at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens and shared a deep affection for all animals.
Lisa dedicated her professional life to helping others experience the wonders of travel, working as a tourist advisor at VisitNorfolk. Her enthusiasm and dedication left a lasting impression on colleagues and travelers alike, enriching the lives of many along the way.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Glenn MacKenzie, who was her steadfast partner through life's journey. She is also survived by her sister Debra Forehand, brother Tim Eason and their families. Each of them will forever carry the warmth and laughter that Lisa brought into their lives.
