Elaine Claire Pfleger-Henry

Elaine Claire Pfleger-Henry, age 81, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed away December 22, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born August 14, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Agnes DeStefano. She was the loving spouse of Jay Henry with whom she was married recently.

Elaine was a 1962 graduate of St. Hubert's High School in Northeast Philadelphia and attended Manor Junior College. She taught Catholic grammar school in both Philadelphia and Ocean City, NJ. She was the restaurant manager of the Port O-Call Hotel in Ocean City. She was the secretary for Granieri/Birch Concrete & Masonry. She was a realtor for Northeast & Bucks Realty in Ocean City. Elaine finished her career as an administrative assistant for an insurance agency in Bucks County, PA. She was a volunteer for the health care and dining service for the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA. Elaine loved to needle point, cross stitch & knit. Her passion was playing the violin.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Jay; sister, Claire DeStefano, SSJ; her son, Edward Birch, Jr. (Patricia); daughter, Elaine Williams (Scott), and son, James Birch (Beth), as well as her beloved grandchildren and step-children.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her sister, Clare Bernard, SSj and husband, Rudy Pfleger.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, January 12, 2026 at Sell Chapel Parlor, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA with a visitation at 12:30 PM.
