Elaine Porth

Elaine Porth was born on March 16, 1933, she passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 91 on Saturday, January 25, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Porth, whom she married in 1954, and by her sister, Marguerite Langlois.
Elaine found beauty in nature - loving and maintaining her yard and garden, listening to the birds chirping, and fishing from the break wall in Algonac. All reflected her belief in nature's bounty (God's bounty). She was a devoted wife, mother, and a faithful Catholic who attended Mass regularly. Elaine was a smart cookie. She followed current events via television and enjoyed reading her mail - sometimes 40 pieces a day.
She is survived by her children, Audrey Hough, and Glenn (Marianne) Porth, grandsons, Arthur (Katherine), Alec, and Paul, and great granddaughters, Delaney, and Phoebe, as well as her beloved cat, Fog.
Monday, February 10th, 2025 there were be memorial visitation at 10:30 a.m. until the time of her Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ephrem Catholic Church, 38900 Dodge Park, Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Elaine will be inurned the following day, Tuesday, February 11th, 2025, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, in Holly Township, Michigan.
