Elaine B. Tyrrell ObituaryElaine B. Tyrrell, age 90, of Goshen, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025.
Born on August 22, 1934 in Torrington, Connecticut to the late Frank and Helen (Mahieu) Brun, Elaine loved a long and eventful life. She married the late George K. Tyrrell in 1953.
Elaine was a graduate of Litchfield High School. After getting married, Elaine and George lived for a short time in Rhode Island before moving back to Litchfield to start their family. They loved to travel around the country in their RV. Elaine also enjoyed gardening, quilting, playing Wii bowling at the senior center and putting together puzzles with her grandchildren.
Elaine is predeceased by her husband, George K. Tyrrell and her daughters; Sandra Tyrrell and Kimberly Anstett. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Hird (George) of Southington, and son, William "Randy" Tyrrell (Jennifer) of Goshen as well as her son-in-law, Barry Anstett. In addition she is survived by her grandchildren; Stephen, Adam, Jennifer, Christopher, Michele, Rannan (Dom), Jordan (Sophia), Sam and Allegra, as well as ten beautiful great grandchildren. Elaine is also survived by a special friend, John Portinari.
A graveside service will be held in the spring.
