Elder Jack "Jessie" Morris, Jr. was born on October 12, 1938, in Conway, South Carolina, to the

late Jack Morris, Sr. and Julia Morris. He was lovingly raised by his adopted parents (cousins),

Julian and Perry Lee Reynolds, of Tampa, Florida.

He received his education through the Horry County and Hillsborough County school systems.

Elder Morris peacefully passed into eternal rest on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Oxley Park Health & Rehabilitation at the age of 87. He was a resident of Bulloch County, Georgia. He worked as a sharecropper for more than 30 years and later was employed as a truck driver with Wooten Transports, Inc., where he worked faithfully until his retirement.

Elder Morris enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. Most importantly, he was a devoted member of The

Body of Christ Assembly, Inc., under the leadership of Pastor Samuel C. Watkins, where he faithfully served as a deacon.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Morris; his second

wife, Barbara "Bobbie Jean" Morris; and his siblings, Anne Lou, Goldie Morris, Flora Bell, John Vereen, and Julia Mae Williams.

Those left to cherish his loving memory include his son, Eric Morris of Miami, Florida; daughters Brenda Ransom of Lyons, Georgia, and Lenetha (Jerry) Bethel of Ray City, Georgia; and his bonus son, Sylvester (Archie) Brooks of Texas. He also leaves nine grandchildren: Whitney and Stephanie Morris; Marcus Moultrie, Jr.; Kichev, Ishmell, Zymir Moultrie; Harmoni Ransom; Nakia Bacon; and Henry Bacon, Jr. of Nashville, Georgia; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews, including Vernon (Angela) Williams; Eugene (Rholiya) Williams, Jr.; Regenia (Reggie) Battle of Tampa, Florida; and Nancy Jenkins of Conway, South Carolina. He also leaves great-nieces ChaKayla Williams of Tampa, Florida, and Mary Jenkins and Lucinda (Fitzgerald) Anderson of Conway, South Carolina; a special friend, Matilda

Redmond; and many other relatives and friends.

Though he will be greatly missed, we rejoice knowing that Elder Jack "Jessie" Morris, Jr. has

transitioned to a better place-a new home-with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Celebration of Life for Elder Jack "Jessie" Morris, Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on

Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc., with the Rev. Samuel C. Watkins, Officiating.

Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
