Eldon Gholson Obituary
Eldon Allen Gholson, 86, of Lampasas, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1939, in Hamilton, TX, to James and Amy (Young) Gholson.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 10 am, at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Eldon worked for the government at Fort Hood as a civil service employee before retiring after 33 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, doing anything with his hands, and being outdoors. Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bonnie, and his sister, Linda.
Survivors include his sons, David Gholson and Karen Hall, and Russell Gholson and Alisha Lee; his brother, Jimmy Gholson and wife Martha and his grandsons, Hunter, Gauge, and Timber Gholson.
