Eleane Woon Obituary
On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Eleane (Hall) Woon, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years.
Eleane was born in the Sunderland District of St. James, Jamaica. Being one of ten siblings, Eleane naturally adapted to the role of second mother to her brothers and sisters.
Eleane began her healthcare career in Montego Bay, Jamaica, working as a nurse in a doctor's office. After immigrating to Canada in the 1970's, she continued her career as a service aide at the Foothills Hospital for many years.
Eleane extended that care in her community, church, and to family friends. Her laugh and generosity cannot be forgotten.
Eleane is survived by her husband Albert, son Roger, daughter Natasha, one and only grandchild, Quinnlyn; as well as three sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Pierson's Funeral Service, Ltd., 4121 -17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. The funeral service for Eleane will follow at 11:00 a.m. from Pierson's Funeral Service Ltd. Burial will take place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 1515 - 100 Street SE, Calgary. While there will be no reception, the family warmly appreciates your presence at the graveside to send off Eleane in song.
