Eleanor Baughan Obituary

Eleanor Lloyd Baughan

Eleanor Lloyd Baughan, age 85, of Glen Allen, VA, went to be with her heavenly father on July 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her best friend and sweetheart, Graham O. Baughan, Jr.; her parents, Ruby and Virginius Lloyd; and her brother, Irvin Lloyd. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Hawk (Charles); son, Darrell (Michele); three grandchildren, Megan Donovan (Peter), Kathy Paschall, and Matthew Baughan (Christin); and her beloved six great – grandchildren, Abigail, Scarlett, Oakley, and Sawyer Donovan and Joel and Miles Baughan. Eleanor's joy was found in family gatherings, as she prepared delicious food, organized fun games, and made everyone feel so loved. Her family all adored her and will always remember how considerate she was to each of them. Eleanor was a devoted homemaker and very adept at making crafts. Whatever she did was to the glory of God. She was greatly admired and cherished by all who knew her. She was a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life focused on her family and her deep love for her husband, Gray. Eleanor will always be remembered for her devout Christian attitude in all of her undertakings. She was a true friend to all who touched her life. Eleanor had "unequaled" yard sales for years and those who witnessed them will attest to the grandeur of them all. She had been a very active church worker, having played the piano and organ and taught children's Sunday School classes. Her favorite hymn was "I'd Rather Have Jesus". Eleanor lived this life as the hymn states "loving Jesus more than anything this world offers". She would want each of you to live life in this same blessed way. Eleanor was a member of Grove Avenue Baptist Church.
