Eleanor Ruth Bugglin, 87, of Zanesville, died at 5:44 P.M. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at The Oaks at Bethesda. She was born December 28, 1936, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Leonard and Hazel (Quigley) Larson. She was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother, who found great joy in caring for her family. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places. She worked as a bus driver for West Muskingum Schools for 13 years, and attended Hopewell Free Methodist Church.
Ruth is survived by four children, Rebecca Ann Mueller, John A. (Tracy) Bugglin, Paul J. (Lisa) Bugglin, and Robert S. (Traci) Bugglin; a brother Tom (Carla) Larson; a sister Linda Larson (Al Blake); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Bugglin, who died November 11, 2009; a daughter Joan F. Sisson; two sisters, Patricia West and Lorain Larson; and two brothers, Phillip Larson and Leonard Larson.
Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, with Mr. William Meaige officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband John at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
