Eleanor Dorr Obituary
Ellie married the love of her life, Ronnie Dorr on December 6, 1953. Together they raised their three children, Ed, Scott, and Lyn.
Ronnie and Ellie started and ran Dorr's Printing in Somersworth and Ellie added her own touch with "Invitations by Eleanor." Ellie was a dedicated and active parishioner of Holy Trinity (St Ignatius of Loyola) for over 65 years. In 1995, Ellie and Ronnie founded "In Mary's Company" carrying their faith and love of God to many with organizing pilgrimages to many holy shrines including the Holy Land and the Vatican.
Ellie is predeceased by Ronnie. She leaves her son Ed and his partner, Therese of Somersworth, her son Scott and his wife Cathryn of Berwick; and her daughter Lyn and her husband, Jon Patterson of North Hampton. Ellie was a very beloved Nana to Kyle (Eve) Dorr and Caitlin (Shane) Martin, Molly (Zack) Hale and Alex Dorr, Amy Patterson, Meg (Tim) Dineen, and Drew (Amanda) Patterson; she was blessed to be "G-Nana" to Lucy, Delaney, Aiden, Emory, Dylan, and soon to be Baby Patterson.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on May 3 from 4-7 PM, at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave, in Dover. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated May 4 at 10 AM at Holy Trinity (St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish), 404 High St, in Somersworth. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann's where Ellie was so lovingly cared for in her last years (https://stannrehabcenter.org) or Holy Trinity (St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish) (https://www.stignatius-stmary.org).
