Eleanor B. Dukles (nee Prok), 93 of Brunswick passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She was born on February 16, 1932 in Lakewood, Ohio to George and Anna Prok. Eleanor was an avid Cleveland Indians fan who also enjoyed crafts, sewing, camping, and listening to country music. Church was paramount to Eleanor and she loved participating in church outreach and singing in the church choir as well as the Lutheran Mass Choir. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by them.
Eleanor was the wife of the late Theodore Dukles, Sr. who passed away in January, 2023; mother of Theodore, Jr. (Julie), Marc (Michelle), Duane (Geri), and Kevin (deceased, 2024) (Brenda); grandmother of Marc, Jr. (Aimee), Morgan Halfacre (Jeremy), Rachael Walas (Steven), Stephanie Phillipp (deceased) (Mark), Ian (Neely), Shannon (Tyler), Colin (Erin), TJ III (Paige), Jessica Luxmore (Mason), Andrew (Samantha), Hannah, and Leah Dukles (deceased); great grandmother of Michael Phillipp (deceased), Brayden, Benjamin, Noah, Tyler, Maurianna, River, Henry, and Amelia; and sister of Darine Prok, Rev. Myron Prok (Shirley), and Leroy Prok (Martha), and also her late siblings, George Prok (Joan), Dan Prok (Adeline), David Prok, and Betty Pelikan (Rev. Ted).
The family will receive friends at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1330 N. Carpenter Rd., Brunswick on Sunday, September 28 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 4:00 pm. A private family burial will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
