Theodore "Ted" Dukles Sr.

Theodore "Ted" John Dukles, Sr., 89 of Brunswick, passed away at his home on January 15, 2023. He was born in Lakewood, Ohio on May 6, 1933 to Andrew and Anna (Shestina) Dukles and married the love of his life Eleanor B. (Prok) Dukles on January 7, 1956. He was a proud US Navy Veteran, and was retired from NASA.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Eleanor; sons, Theodore (Julie) Dukles, Jr. of Brunswick, Marc (Michelle) Dukles, Sr. of Brunswick, Duane (Geri) Dukles of Middleburg Hts., and Kevin (Brenda) Dukles of Brunswick; grandchildren, Marc Dukles, Jr., Morgan (Jeremy) Halfacre, Mark Phillipp, Rachael (Stephen) Walas, Ian (Neeley) Dukles, Shannon (Tyler Rote) Dukles, Colin (Erin Wright) Dukles, Jessica (Mason) Luxmore, TJ Dukles III, Andrew Dukles, and Hannah Dukles; great grandchildren, Michael and Brayden Phillipp, Ben and Noah Halfacre, Tyler, Jr. and Maurianna Rote, River Dukles; and his sister, Sylvia (Tom) Luekens.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Stephanie Phillipp; infant granddaughter, Leah Diane Dukles; and his brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Evelyn Dukles.

The family will receive friends at St. Mark Church, 1330 N. Carpenter Rd., Brunswick, Ohio 44212 on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 pm. Burial will take place on Friday at 2:30 pm at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio. Please meet at the cemetery entrance by 2:15 pm.
