In Loving Memory of Jim Blodgett

With heavy hearts we share that Jim Blodgett beloved husband, father, papa, and friend passed away on September 30 in Sullivan, Ohio.

Born on February 11, 1953, in Patuxent River, MD .

Jim lived a life full of love, laughter, integrity, and adventure, He lived life to the fullest, pursuing all his endeavours and dreams with passion, dedication, and helpfulness. Many times he went out of his way and stopped along the side of the road to help a stranded motorist. He would get them help or drive them home, even to another state. That was the amazing man that Jim was.

Together Jim and Debbi pursued many adventures. They met at 17, on a youth missionary trip to Mexicali, Mexico, married at 18, and had 55 amazing years together. One of Jim's dreams as a young man was to open his own campground. In 2003 he achieved that dream and spent 14 years at Fish Lake Resort in Oregon.

Jim loved his family above all else in his life. He was a loyal friend and was always there when any of his family or friends needed something.

Those who knew Jim will always remember him for the 70s rock music blaring from the speakers in his garage where he loved to spend his time. He taught his family the value of a well-timed sarcastic joke while also instilling in them the necessity of a strong work ethic, sense of honor, & personal accountability.

Jim is survived by his wife Debbi, daughter Michelle & son in law Bill, daughter Erika, daughter Heather, & son in law Diego and son Daniel & wife Sabrina, 15 grandchildren, & his mother in law, Fran, as well as many dear friends who became family over the years. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Art & Louise, & his sister Sandy.

Though Jim is no longer with us he will be in our hearts always & forever, reminding us to follow our dreams & continue living our lives to the fullest with love & laughter. He would tell us "Don't ever lose your sense of humor"

Rest in the arms of Jesus Jim until we meet again.

A celebration will be held at a later time. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
