Richard John Staab, age 77, of Medina, passed away on October 3, 2025. He was born on December 1, 1947, in Cleveland to the late Walter and Marie (Schmitt) Staab. He served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the US Air Force.

Richard was a mechanical engineer for Byers Engineering and Thorson Baker and Associates for many years. He was an avid model railroader and enjoyed photography, travel and the outdoors-especially gardening. His greatest joy in life was devoting his time with his wife, Sharon, and his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sharon (Sullivan) Staab; his loving children Ryan Staab (Rebecca) and Katie Rundle (Mark); his cherished grandchildren Taylor, Quintin and Chase Staab and Alexa and Camryn Rundle; his siblings Walene Boroske (Jim), Mary Ann Amorozowitz, Terry Wacker (Jeff), Chris Staab (Carol), and Tim Staab (Beverly); brother-in-law Jimmy Bowman; his faithful companion Bentley; and a lifetime of collected friends and colleagues. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Kathy Bowman; and his brother-in-law David Amorozowitz.

Services will be announced at a later date and he will be laid to rest with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
