Eleanor Macaluso

Eleanor Macaluso, a 13 year resident of Hopewell Junction, New York, passed away peacefully in her home on June 16, 2025. She was 93 years old.
Eleanor was born on January 21, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Belviso and had lived in Middle Village, Queens before relocating to Hopewell Junction. Eleanor was a stay-at-home mother and housekeeper, working 23 years before retiring in 2000. She was married to Harry P. Macaluso, who passed away in 2010.
She was an active participant in the Hopewell, Fishkill, and Wappingers Senior Centers, was a member of her local bowling league in Queens, and loved to play bingo. She loved to tune in to game shows and to solve crossword puzzles. Eleanor enjoyed sewing, going on bus trips to casinos, but most of all, loved being with her family.
Eleanor is survived by her loving daughter, Paula Donnelly, who resides with her husband Kieran in Hopewell Junction. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brendan Donnelly and Brian Donnelly and his wife, Shanna. Eleanor will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, June 20 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon. Burial will follow in the family plot at All Faiths Cemetery, 67-29 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, NY.
