Eleanor (Smith) MacIver, 97, of Boxborough, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born July 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Davidson) Smith. She was loving wife to the late Donald MacIver.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy and her husband Dmitrij, her son Bruce and his wife Diane. She has 6 grandchildren, Alexander and his wife Donna, Gregory and his wife Dorothy, Caelin, Justin, William and Ian. She had one great grandchild, Jacob.
Eleanor was an accomplished floral designer for much of her working years. She was a lover of animals and owned two horse for twenty years. She grew award winning African violets and was an avid gardener and loved to walk and enjoy the outdoors. Eleanor was devoted to her family and was an adored presence at any family get together. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
It was her wish to have no public service and all arrangements will be private.

The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
