Eleanor C. (Lancsek) Perrett, affectionately known as Ellie to her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospice House. Born on December 9, 1932, in Fountain Hill, Ellie was a beacon of joy and kindness throughout her 92 years of life.
Ellie was the cherished daughter of the late Stephon and Rose (Koszar) Lancsek. was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nickolas D. Perrett, Sr., and her siblings, John, Stephen, Mary, Esther, Adam, and Theresa. Her legacy continues through her loving children, Diane Wasley and her husband Scott, Lisa Perrett-Rossetti and her husband Butch, Nickolas D. Perrett and his wife Randi, and Mario Perrett and his wife Rachel. Ellie was a proud grandmother to Adrienne, Dominic and his wife Cassidy, Nicholas and his wife Abigail, Sarah and her husband Alec, Luca, and Ali and her husband Tim, and a doting great-grandmother to James and Aiden. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Rose Lancsek and many loving nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly.
A proud graduate of Fountain Hill High School, class of 1949, Ellie's work ethic was as strong as her spirit. She began her career at Hess's in the Designer Area, later serving as a secretary for Bethlehem Steel, and eventually retiring from B Braun.
Ellie's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a faithful member of St. Ursula Catholic Church in Fountain Hill. Her interests were a reflection of her love for life and her community. She was happiest when she was at the beach or swimming at the Fountain Hill pool. Ellie's love for walking everywhere was well-known, as was her passion for dancing, cooking, and animals. Above all, she loved her family dearly and was their most enthusiastic supporter, never missing a sporting game for her grandchildren.
Those who knew Ellie will remember her for her humor, love, and kindness. She had the rare ability to light up a room with her laughter and to make everyone feel welcome and cherished. Her culinary skills brought her family together for countless memorable meals, and her dance moves were a highlight at many gatherings.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at St. Ursula Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway
